A small collection of interesting photos and videos we've gathered along our journey
The IBAK T-76 Tractor Camera in action. Here our Technician is performing a condition assessment of a large stormwater road underpass. The halo light ring ensures even the most minor of faults can be clearly observed and recorded. An example of the diversification of pipe networks, and our capabilities.
A small bulge in a 150mm PVC conduit was obstructing our tractor camera. The culprit, a one ton granite rock, removed with the assistance of the local council, and upon removal, the pipe restored itself to its original diameter.
We never know what we will find inside pipe networks. Stormwater pipes usually surprise us the most. Here our Technician has vision obscured by a cat, and a mouse.
This is the infamous Warthog nozzle in action. A great all-rounder jetting nozzle capable of removing roots, debris, and more. Here you can see a large broken section of conduit being removed by the jet. The broken pipe is collected and removed by our Operator at the downstream maintenance hole using a specialized basket.
Few have seen a Jet-Vac Truck in operation from inside the pipe. This short video shows silt and rubble being removed from a stormwater conduit. Our Operators and Technicians are using their exceptional communicational skills to relay directives during a clean and vacuum, while the tractor camera observes the process; ensuring an exceptional result.
It doesn't look like much. This is an image inside one of South Australia's largest sewer pipeline systems. Our team is the only SA based crew capable of assessing the condition of sewer conduits with these diameters. An enormous amount of planning, technical abilities, and onsite problem solving skills were required to obtain this footage.
This section of pipe had been continuously causing issues for the asset owner. We found a large void with a length of 600mm. The void had been exacerbated by years of continuous cleaning using high pressure jetting. Unfortunately, this section of pipe lay directly beneath the footings of a residential building.
This is something our Technicians see far too often. Sewer mains are often constructed through properties, and residents are occasionally unaware of this. Here, a resident has installed a fence above the mains, and has unconsciously driven a star dropper through the mains, causing a blockage.
